History

The business was started in 1984 and registered in North Andover, MA. I grew up in North Andover and graduated from North Andover High School in 1979. From there I attended the Art Institute of Boston from 1979-1982 and graduated with a studio arts diploma as a fine arts major. During this time in the summers I worked on a painting crew in Cambridge, MA. Painting the inside and outside of homes owned by  Graham Gund and Neva Rockafeller.  After graduation I worked one summer for William K. Lawrie Painting and Decorating (Andover, MA). During that summer we worked on the Wood Estate in Shawsheen Square.

In the fall of 1983 through the fall of 1984 I applied and attended three major Artist Colonies in New England. The Edward MacDowell Colony in Peterborough, NH. The Vermont Studio School in Johnson, Vermont. The Cummington Communities of  The Arts in Cummington, MA. I have used my Art background and applied that sensitivity to my Painting Business and the work I do every day.

In the fall of 1984 I started this business and have been working it ever since.

In 1987 I joined the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America. From 1992 through 1993 I was the President of the Merrimack Valley / North Shore Chapter. I used to pick up Shaun Regan (Regan Painting, Methuen, MA) and we would go to the meetings together.

In 1994 I built a house and moved to Plaistow, NH. Still most of my work is in Andover, North Andover, Topsfield, Boxford, and Georgetown, MA.  However I am willing to drive an hour each way if my work is referred.
